I’m very surprised about the chosen track list; whilst I think it may be a pretty solid list, including many of her early hits including all of the singles from her debut album; I feel that many notable works including Erotica and Ray of Light have been very under-represented especially the omission of Deeper and Deeper. I also feel that her more “current” tracks like American Life and Give It 2 Me should have been included in place of random tracks such as Miles Away…

The single, Celebration, a collaborative effort from Madonna and Paul Oakenfold is released on the 14th September in the UK.
Oh, and HAPPY 51ST BIRTHDAY TO THE QUEEN OF POP! (yesterday!)

Other stuff is really just a couple of music things I found on YouTube..
Including Whitney Houston‘s lead single from her album I Look to You, Million Dollar Bill
And a track which the Sugababes were very sad that didn’t make the track list of their still yet-to-be-named seventh studio album, Lincoln Continental. It was written by Ne-Yo and this YouTube video is actually the demo version with Ne-Yo’s vocals.
Enjoy.

Howdy folks!
It’s that time again to bring you more thrilling updates on some of my favourite music artists. Now, again most of this should’ve been posted yesterday so it was a little more up-to-date but I was a tad too preoccupied.
But better late than never!
*****
Let’s begin with Mr Will Young who has announced the release of his first Greatest Hits collection. In his Official Newsletter the information is as follows:
Will Young – The Hits
- Evergreen
- Light My Fire
- You & I
- Leave Right Now
- Your Game
- Friday’s Child
- Switch It On
- All Time Love
- Who Am I
- Changes
- Grace
- Let It Go
- Bonus Track 1
- Bonus Track 2
The collection, if you haven’t already gathered, contains the majority of the singles from his four albums: From Now On, Friday’s Child, Keep On & Let It Go; plus 2 brand new tracks. The only singles omitted are Evergreen’s a-side partner Anything Is Possible, The Long & Winding Road (a duet with Pop Idol runner-up Gareth Gates) and Don’t Let Me Down which was You & I’s other a-side.
He’s been apparently working with Calvin Harris and Groove Armada, possibly on a new album or for the bonus tracks for this hits collection.
I have all of Will’s albums but I never really considered myself a huge fan but I feel the track listing contains a good solid body of work that any artist should be proud of. I did wish Anything Is Possible was included in the track list and that the listing should really be a little mixed up rather than just in a chronological order; if you were to do that I would’ve preferred it to be Present to Past.

Next up with have another fun update on the Sugababes (you can almost tell that I actually like these guys…).
Here’s the single cover for their single Get Sexy out on the 31st August.

Plus here’s a better quality version of the video:
Slightly off on a tangent, Tinchy & Amelle‘s single Never Leave You is currently topping the UK iTunes chart and are #1 on the midweek’s (counting both physical and digital sales) at the moment. The biggest contenders so far will be the Black Eyed Peas‘ follow-up single I Gotta Feeling and Madonna‘s Greatest Hits single Celebration which is out in the next few days!
Tinchy Stryder also feels that he’d be up for “returning the favour” to Amelle and working on a new Sugababes’ track as a featured artist if it felt like it was right for him (click here for the full article).

Alrighty, now onto The Saturdays.
It’s just a quick one really, but this article (click here) stating that they threatened to go on strike in favour of more break time seems like a load of bulls**t. However, I must say I’m not surprised they seem like they’ve been working non-stop since they’ve started!
Oh and don’t forget to pre-order their 2010 calendar! (here)

Woo now for the legend that is Miss Britney Spears.
I love, love, love this cake that a massive Britney fan got made for their birthday! I wish I got this type of cake made for me..!

There’s still no news on the apparent Greatest Hits/Best Of/Singles Collection she is meant to be releasing which coincides with the final leg of her Circus Tour. Amazon.com has it listed here. (Obviously I don’t count this as real evidence for a release…)
She’s been in the studio with Max Martin during her mainland European stint of the Circus Tour and it seems Fernando Garibay has been working on some new tracks to submit; furthermore Keri Hilson has also mentioned that she may be working on some new tracks for her.
No one actually knows what these tracks are for, whether new tracks for the greatest hits or for a new album??

And talking about the Final Act of the Circus Tour (starring Britney Spears) – which kicks off soon! – I’m wondering whether, with the name change, there will be any significant changes. I mean she has added Mannequin to her set list and has not been performing Touch of My Hand in some of her recent shows. Are these signs of things to come? Will she add new songs? Change songs? Or just change up the costumes? Who knows until she resumes her tour August 20th in Hamilton, Canada!
I would probably like to see more oldies coming back, like Stronger or Overprotected; or perform more Circus tracks (seeing as she’s only performing the singles from it despite it being called “The Circus Tour”) like Out From Under or Kill the Lights. OR even perform Toy Solider from Blackout! I actually wish I could see her again!

Now we’re onto someone new! Natalie Imbruglia.

She releases her fourth album, Come To Life, on October 5th! Here’s the track listing:
- My God
- Lukas
- Fun
- Twenty
- Scars
- Want
- WYUT
- Cameo
- All The Roses
- Wild About It
The new single is Wild About It, out September 28th, and the video is available on the official site or you can watch it on youtube here:
I’m looking forward to what she puts out because I liked Counting Down the Days, Left of the Middle and White Lillies Island. She’s worked with Coldplay on this album and I’m interested to what spin they put on her music. However, I must say I am slightly disappointed with Wild About It. It’s a little bit mundane. I suppose I was expecting another Shiver or Torn or Wrong Impression, but I’ll reserve judgement ‘til I hear the rest of her output.

Finally a little quickie on Leona Lewis.

I just wanted to update you on what she’s been doing for her follow-up to the smash Spirit. She’s been working with a hell of a lot of amazing writers and producers including:
Timbaland, Ryan Tedder, Taio Cruz, James Fauntleroy, Danja, Xenomania, Bangladesh, Max Martin, Aqualung, Ina “the 6th Saturday” Wroldsen, Ne-Yo, Claude Kelly, Novel, John Shanks and Will.I.Am.
Good Stuff.
